As recently as a few weeks ago, we were riding high on strong fundraising numbers, lots of positive press, and a solid showing in the polls.

But ever since Zach Lahn locked down the Republican nomination, he’s been spending big and making this toss-up race even more of a nail-biter.

Could it be the $700k a week he’s spending to spread lies about me with TV ads?

Could it be that Iowans don’t know much about Kansas resident Zach Lahn, or that he’d be a rubber stamp for the same failing policies that have been holding our state back for a decade?

We’re also stuck in a prolonged fundraising slump, which is the last thing we need right now when Lahn is ramping up and gaining ground.
