Hey John,

Now that our primary is behind us, I want to take a moment to talk plainly about who I'm running against.

Jake Johnson outside Brad Finstad's office

Brad Finstad has been in Congress representing southern Minnesota, and in that time, he's built a record of taking corporate PAC money and answering to national party leadership instead of the families back home. Nearly half of his campaign is funded by PAC contributions.

Brad Finstad's campaign 45% funded by PACs

He's had the chance to hold open town halls, sit down with teachers and small business owners, and answer directly for his votes. Instead, he's chosen to spend his time protecting special interests.

Here’s one of his “forums”:

And one of ours:

That's the choice in this race. I've spent twenty years in a public school classroom, and I've never stopped believing that if you work for someone, you owe them honesty and you show up when they have questions.

Brad Finstad has made a different choice, and southern Minnesota families are the ones paying for it.

This November, we have a chance to make another choice. One where we send Brad Finstad back to the private sector and elect someone doing the work to actually represent the people of southern Minnesota.

We are facing an uphill battle, and Finstad’s backers are going to do whatever it takes to hold onto this seat. That’s why we have to be ready for the next few months ahead.

Will you chip in $20 today to help us make sure southern Minnesota gets a real choice this November?

Thank you, John. Together, we can beat the special interests and Washington politics trying to keep us from having real representation in Congress.

With you -- not above you,

Jake Johnson
