Attacks are nothing new to me, John. When you advocate on behalf of the voiceless and the marginalized, sometimes you upset some powerful people along the way.
But this latest attack from the Sergeants Benevolent Association (SBA) is absolutely disgusting, and it crosses the line.
For daring to look into why, despite a spike in shootings, there have been fewer gun arrests and slower response times to gun violence, the SBA, from their official account, is smearing me as a “first class whore.”
The SBA is a bona fide hate group masquerading as a union. The racism, misogyny, and homophobia of their president Ed Mullins gives Donald Trump a run for his money.
John, I won’t be intimidated by the SBA's disgusting bully tactics — and I’m going to keep asking questions. I’m done with the NYPD’s excuses, and so are the people of this city.

I’ve got thick skin, John. This isn’t about my feelings.
It’s about standing up to bullying, and it’s about letting the powerful know that they can’t respond to legitimate inquiries with personal and unwarranted attacks.
Thank you for having my back.
Ritchie
