Thanks to you and everyone who donated in the lead-up to yesterday’s ad buy fundraising deadline. Shane and Jacob let me know that we’re now in a position to make a powerful first investment in TV, and I am excited to launch our first spots of the general election in the New York media market.

This is a powerful investment that will put our message in front of voters throughout New York’s First District many times throughout the week.

We know that voters are ready for leaders who trust the experts and understand science, and our polling shows that if we can effectively communicate my background as a Ph.D. chemist and a community leader, we will win. We’re within striking distance, with the DCCC naming our race to their Red to Blue list, and Cook Political and other raters upgrading our chances of winning due to all our work up to now.

But we need to build more support -- and our ads will help us do just that. Our ads will begin running early next week, and by then, voters should be receiving our direct mail as well.

During this morning’s 9 a.m. team meeting, we laid out our strategy for the month, set our targets, and defined exactly what we will need to do to ensure we defeat one of the worst self-serving swamp creatures and Trump allies in Washington.

We expect mail-in ballots to land in mailboxes sometime mid-September, so New Yorkers will be voting early. Every day between now and the election, we’re going to hustle hard to make sure every voter we need to win gets their ballot turned in, so we can put an end to leadership that puts hyperpartisan politics ahead of the needs of our community.

I know that with your continued support, we’ll be able to continue this strong advertising strategy for the next 59 days.

I cannot say this enough: thank you for being such a critical part of our campaign. I am grateful to have your support in our race for NY-01, and I hope you’re as excited about our new ad as we are. As soon as we have the final cut, I’ll make sure you’re one of the first people to see it.
