Hi, John -- RGers are showing up big time to support our collective fundraising goal of raising $5M for the Movement for Black Lives (M4BL) and $1M for the Black-led Southern Power Fund. 

We are already MORE THAN HALF WAY to meeting these fundraising goals and are focused and ready to make it happen. 
 
So far we are:

• $2.5M towards our $5M M4BL end of year fundraising goal -- can this crew raise $1M in the month of September for M4BL?
• $635K towards our $1M Black-led Southern Power Fund fundaising goal -- can this crew raise $365K needed to meet our $1M goal by the end of September?!

This September, let's raise $1M for M4BL and get that much closer to our $5M end of year goal! Get involved in our fundraising campaign here!

Moving money now is making a critical difference to the Black-led organizations that comprise the Movement for Black Lives network. 

We've had so many people reach out and respond to the larger $50M funding request from Movement for Black Lives organizers to "fund us like you want us to win”! And we've seen tremendous collective effort from young people with access to wealth to meet RG’s $5M commitment towards M4BL's $50M overall goal. 

The Resource Generation community has raised $500K+ and are more than halfway to our goal for the Southern Power Fund (SPF) helping it to already move a first round of grants to 100 organizations across the U.S. Southeast and Puerto Rico, all of whom are doing vital work and need and deserve to be powerfully resourced in this moment and beyond. A second round of grant distributions will go out from the SPF after September 30, and any funds received after that time will go towards seeding a long term fund to resource the south, governed by long-term, Black centered movement leadership. 

The role our community has played to respond to this moment during dual pandemics of white supremacy and COVID-19 at the speed required by organizers and movements is important. 

Let's raise $1M from the RG community for Movement for Black Lives in September.
