John,
We have less than two weeks until Massachusetts’ September 1 Election Day, and I’m proud to endorse progressive champion Ed Markey in his re-election for the U.S. Senate.
Ed Markey was one of the first Senators to call for abolishing ICE, and among only a few progressive Senators who joined me in endorsing Dr. Abdul El-Sayed in his primary election to represent Michigan in the U.S. Senate.
We’re all aligned on Medicare for All — and Ed has written powerful legislation such as the State-Based Universal Health Care Act, so states can build universal coverage now instead of waiting on the federal government.
I’ve also worked with Ed on policies like the Fossil Free Finance Act to end major funding for the fossil fuel projects that pollute our air and accelerate climate chaos. As a co-chair of the Senate’s Environmental Justice Caucus, Ed supported me in forming the Environmental Justice Caucus in the House of Representatives.
Ed knows that instead of sending weapons to Israel’s military or funding illegal wars, our tax dollars should go toward universal healthcare, the Green New Deal, affordable housing, free public transit, and expanding programs like Social Security and Medicaid.
But he’s up against a Democrat who’s against Medicare for All — and who has voted with Republicans on policies that thank ICE and send our tax dollars to weapons corporations and war crimes.
With less than two weeks left in his primary election, please split a donation between my and Ed Markey’s re-election campaigns today. We need progressive champions in the Senate — not Democrats who’ll sell us out and vote with Republicans, like Ed’s opponent.

Senator Ed Markey is also the Senate’s top supporter of transgender Americans. Sen. Markey has written and introduced groundbreaking legislation like the Trans Bill of Rights and the Transgender Health Care Access Act.
Meanwhile, his opponent has repeatedly made transphobic comments and said that Democrats need to engage in “debate” about trans Americans’ rights — repeating right-wing talking points that contribute to the demonization of some of our most marginalized neighbors.
Ed’s opponent Seth Moulton has also criticized attempts to hold Israel’s government accountable for its genocide in Gaza, including speaking out against South Africa’s case in the International Court of Justice. AIPAC has donated to Moulton in the past, and Moulton is still refusing to join me and the other 73 U.S. Representatives who support the Block the Bombs Act.
Meanwhile, Ed has consistently voted for years to block weapons to Israel’s military, and to expand human rights at home and abroad.
Ed’s also a leader in the fight to tax the ultra-rich in order to pay for the life-saving programs that working Americans need. Whereas his opponent has criticized wealth taxes in the past — even calling progressive Senators “un-American” for wanting to “punish the rich.”
The residents of the deep blue state of Massachusetts need progressive champion Ed Markey to keep representing them in the Senate.
And our country needs a progressive majority in Congress in order to pass transformative changes to end poverty, end genocide, and get Big Money out of politics. But dark money is flooding Ed Markey’s race to stop his re-election.
Please split a donation of $10 between our campaigns today to re-elect Ed Markey to the U.S. Senate — and make sure his opponent does not take over this crucial Senate seat.

Thank you so much for your ongoing support in our movement to build progressive power, take on corporate greed, and create a country and a world where everyone can thrive.
Always working for you,
Rashida

John,
I’m proud to endorse Senator Ed Markey for re-election to the U.S. Senate. We have less than two weeks left to support this progressive champion in his Democratic primary election against a moderate who votes with Republicans.
One of the first senators to call for abolishing ICE, Ed has written legislation to strengthen immigrants’ rights and hold ICE accountable for breaking the law and killing our neighbors.
Ed is also an original co-sponsor of Medicare for All who’s written many policies to change our for-profit healthcare system. Like me, he co-chairs the Environmental Justice Caucus, and we’ve worked together to introduce policies like the Fossil Free Finance Act.
For years in the Senate, Ed has led policies to tax the ultra-wealthy, while voting to stop U.S. support for Israel’s military and to stop funding endless wars. He’s also the Senate’s top supporter of transgender Americans, including introducing the Trans Bill of Rights and the Transgender Health Care Access Act.
Meanwhile, his opponent in Massachusetts’ September 1 Democratic primary election does NOT support Medicare for All, voted with Republicans on resolutions that thanked ICE and denounced socialism, repeatedly made transphobic comments, voted many times to send hundreds of billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars to war crimes and weapons corporations, and has criticized attempts to hold Israel’s government accountable for its genocide in Gaza.
Please split a donation of $10 between my campaign and Ed Markey’s campaign today to re-elect the people’s champion to the U.S. Senate — and to make sure his opponent does not take over this crucial seat in the Senate.

More than 30 unions and labor organizations have endorsed Senator Ed Markey because he’s been a consistent fighter for workers’ rights and working families.
He’s also a leader in the fight for abortion rights, with endorsements from Planned Parenthood Action Fund and Reproductive Freedom for All.
Ed has also been a consistent leader in the fight to tax billionaires, unlike his opponent Seth Moulton. In the past, Seth Moulton has criticized progressive Senators for supporting taxes on the wealthy, even calling them “un-American” for wanting to, as Moulton said, “punish the rich.”
AIPAC has donated to Seth Moulton in the past, and Moulton has still NOT joined the 74 U.S. Representatives who support the Block the Bombs Act to block U.S. weapons transfers to Israel’s military.
Ed Markey has responded to Moulton’s ongoing transphobic comments by saying that trans people’s “rights aren’t up for debate. Trans kids need to be loved and supported — not thrown under the bus to score political points.” I agree!
We have less than two more weeks in Massachusetts’ primary election before Election Day on September 1. Our country — and the deeply Democratic state of Massachusetts — needs progressive leader Ed Markey in the Senate.
Please split a donation between my and Ed Markey’s campaigns today if you agree that we don’t need any more Democrats who’ll sell us out and vote with Republicans, like Ed’s opponent.

Thank you for being by my side as we grow our progressive power and build the government we deserve... a truly representative democracy that’s of the people, by the people, and for the people — rather than billionaires and corporate special interests that profit off our pain.
With you in the fight for better,
Rashida
