Late yesterday, The Atlantic broke a story that seemed unfathomably disrespectful, unspeakable, dishonorable — even for someone like Donald Trump.
On more than one occasion, Donald Trump has disparaged our fallen troops, calling them “losers” and “suckers” for making the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our democracy.
He stood with a father at his son’s grave in Arlington on Memorial Day and asked “what’s in it for them?” because he fundamentally does not understand what it means to act in service of anything besides himself.
He tried to exclude wounded veterans from his dictator-esque military parades because he finds their injuries disturbing.
Fallen servicemembers who Traitor Trump feels such disdain for can’t speak for themselves, but their Gold Star families can. It’s our job as the largest organization fighting for veterans and military families to amplify the most credible voices to fight back against Trump.

The current Commander-in-chief and President of the United States is anti-military. He feels no responsibility for the lives of our troops who rely on him for safety and protection every day. He feels no respect for our veterans or fallen troops or the families they leave when they make the ultimate sacrifice.
He needs to be dismissed from his station, and it needs to be us that makes sure he is.
