Hi John — now that we're a few days into the new month, I wanted to give a quick update on our fundraising for August.

While we came close to hitting our fundraising goal last month, we didn't quite get there. We set these goals because hitting them means we'll have the resources to keep up the fight on the issues that matter, like hosting town halls and census organizing within our district.

But because we weren't able to hit our goal in August, we're now looking for ways to scale our operation back for this month, leaving us to make some difficult decisions. What's more, by the end of September, we have to file our quarterly numbers with the Federal Election Commission once again — and I'm concerned that we won't be able to put out strong numbers this time around.

Thankfully, we still have time to get back on track, but only if we start September on a strong note. Can you chip in $7.50 to our campaign right now?
