More than 185,000 people have died from coronavirus in the United States. And thousands across Virginia have lost their employer-sponsored insurance during the pandemic.

We all know someone who would be seriously affected by my opponent’s goal to gut our existing healthcare system and strip away protections for those with pre-existing conditions. They are our families, friends, neighbors, and co-workers. No one should go into debt trying to get the treatment they need, simply because they have a pre-existing condition.

There is no room for error in this election; we all need to protect and care for one another. COVID-19 has only emphasized the need for continued access to affordable healthcare coverage.

Only one candidate in this race has consistently fought to improve our nation's healthcare system, and it’s Abigail.
