Trump Announces ‘Economic D-Day’ on Iran

President Trump on Wednesday night: No one has given the Islamic Republic of Iran a greater opportunity to make a Deal than me. TRAGICALLY, for them, they have failed to take it. Therefore, today, I am announcing the MOST CRUSHING ECONOMIC OPERATION EVER TAKEN AGAINST ANY COUNTRY! This will be Economic Warfare and Isolation on an unprecedented scale. Their navy is gone, their air force is destroyed, their military factories are now rubble, their currency is worthless, and their country is hanging by a thread. Today, I am also announcing that ANY country that allows its financial institutions, businesses, airports, or government entities to provide any type of lifeline to Iran will itself face TREMENDOUS Economic Consequences. Oil smuggling, swap lines, cash transfers, exchange houses, ship registries, front companies — It all needs to stop NOW. You know who you are. This will be an ECONOMIC D-DAY, and we need all of our Allies to stand with the United States of America to isolate, and defeat, the Iran threat. These maniacs are on the ropes, and these HISTORIC MEASURES will cripple them and their ability to project terror worldwide. IRAN WILL NEVER HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON (Truth).

Trump’s Strategy to Squeeze Iran Depends on UAE; Will Dubai Go Along?
Dubai has a long history of doing business with everyone—including about $30 billion of annual trade with Iran (New Arab). The administration has been pressuring UAE to cooperate in pressuring the mullahs. How much will they help? Wall Street Journal: The United Arab Emirates said late Tuesday that it has suspended financial and economic transactions with Iran, potentially threatening Tehran’s access to a major source of imports and a financial back door to the world. The move follows weeks of Trump administration cajoling of the U.A.E. to crack down on Iranian financial networks operating in the country, telling Emirati officials that targeting money flows linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps could have a greater impact on Tehran than the U.S. naval blockade of Iranian ports, according to people familiar with the matter…. Emirati officials see the latest measures as part of a gradual escalation rather than a wholesale break with Tehran, the people familiar with the matter said. The U.A.E. is expected to move step by step, beginning with new restrictions on cargo and potentially expanding to a broader crackdown on Iranian-linked entities if the Revolutionary Guard continues its strikes. The approach reflects the U.A.E.’s preference for testing what works while preserving room to adjust…. To squeeze Iran harder, it needs the U.A.E. to join in. The Emirates sits just across the Persian Gulf and has deep commercial, historical and cultural links with its larger neighbor, even though the two governments have frequently been at odds (Wall Street Journal).

A Closer Look at the Socialist Upset in Florida
The DSA Socialist Angie Nixon raised $975,000. Alex Vindman—her Democrat opponent—raised $16.3 million. And Nixon won by over 12 points (Decision Desk). Curtis Houck of Media Research Center: $16.2 million was lit on fire for Alexander Vindman and it didn’t go anywhere. This guy wasn’t just like in a Democratic establishment pick. This guy’s a darling of the national cable news circuit of the resistance, the Women’s March, all those crazy people because of what he did to President Trump during his first term. So, if it were some other kind of cheap suit stand in, I’d say: “Okay, of course the Socialist was going to win here.” But that, I think it just drives me absolutely bananas when I saw that last night. I couldn’t believe it (MRC). Washington Times: Ms. Nixon’s victory in the primary was a stunning upset over her well-funded Democratic opponent, Alex Vindman, who rose to national prominence in 2019 when he testified against President Trump during the first of his two impeachment trials. Mr. Trump savored Mr. Vindman’s defeat on social media. “How cool is that?” the president posted on X. Tuesday’s results in Florida notched another victory for a growing army of socialists across the nation in the 2026 elections. Candidates touting socialist agendas have secured primary wins in Michigan, the District, New York, Pennsylvania and Colorado by honing in on voter anger and frustration about the rising cost of living and promising free healthcare, free daycare and rent freezes (Washington Times).

Rep. Randy Fine on Defeating Antisemite: ‘I ran against evil’
The Congressmen who’s been dubbed “the Hebrew Hammer” defeated the antisemite Dan Bilzerian by a 40-point margin on Tuesday night (Decision Desk). It was a definitive win. But: it was not your average race. Fine was a guest of Scott Jennings: It’s not often you get to say that you ran against evil. Usually you run against a person, but I ran against someone who was a proud Nazi and put out a video a week ago that said maybe we should revisit Hitler. So, beating him, it was not enjoyable. I will say that. Having a swastika painted on one of my yard signs and having videos distributed with horns coming out of my head were not something I ever experienced in politics, but I beat him by doing a good job and fighting for the issues that Republicans care about …. And also not apologizing for who I am, what I believe, and talking about the idea that the Republican Party needs to stand up for Jewish Americans and our relationship with Israel (Jennings).

LA Mayoral Candidate Nithya Raman Hiring Same Consulting Group Graham Platner and Zohran Mamdani Used
This will be interesting. Karen Bass’s socialist pedigree is pretty well established. Raman may end up making Bass look like a moderate. Los Angeles Times: Los Angeles City Councilmember Nithya Raman plans to hire the controversial progressive consulting group Fight Agency to produce television advertisements for her mayoral campaign, a spokesperson said Wednesday, drawing a quick condemnation from the rival campaign of L.A. Mayor Karen Bass. Fight Agency is best known for its work on campaigns for New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani and for Graham Platner, the former Democratic primary candidate for a Maine Senate seat who withdrew after a woman claimed he sexually assaulted her. Platner denied the allegation…. “We plan on working with Fight Agency,” Raman campaign spokesman Jeff Millman said. “We understand that they had also been approached by other campaigns and committees involved in the L.A. mayor’s race” (Los Angeles Times).

Trump Nominates Heidi Overton to Serve as Next FDA Commissioner
The position has been vacant since Marty Makary resigned in May this year. President Trump yesterday: Heidi is “ALWAYS RIGHT,” Secretary Kennedy recently said in the Oval Office! We need her leadership at the FDA now to ensure that the U.S. remains the WORLD LEADER for Scientific Discovery and CURES (Truth). Critically: Overton believes the science on human life; i.e.: Human life in the womb is still human life. Overton in 2022: Americans should reject abortion radicalism and require policies informed by 21st century science and medicine. Then, indeed, we would all be “Following the Science!” (Life News). HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.: At the @FDA, she will make our food supply safer, modernize drug approvals, unleash American medical innovation, accelerate access to lifesaving treatments, bring greater transparency and accountability to the agency, and restore Gold Standard Science as the foundation of every decision (Kennedy). Overton will need Senate approval for her confirmation.

Israel’s Strike in Syria Was Really More About Turkey
Israel lived with a strong and belligerent satellite state of Iran next door to them in the Assad regimes for over 50 years. They are in no mood to let another Islamist adversary—Turkey—establish themselves in Syria. Israel admitted the strike yesterday: For the first time, Israel has officially acknowledged carrying out the strike on the Abu al-Duhur air base in Syria’s Idlib province, near the Turkish border. The Prime Minister’s Office issued an English-language statement on X late Tuesday night saying the Syrian government had been on the verge of violating a security status quo agreed with Israel. “Israel and Syria agreed to a status quo in security matters, which Syria was on the verge of breaching by permitting Turkish troops to deploy at an airbase near Aleppo,” the statement said. “Israel repeatedly warned Syria that such a deployment would pose a threat to Israel’s security. Syria chose to ignore these warnings. Israel will not tolerate threats to its security, and would welcome a return to the status quo” (Israel Hayom). For Israel, Turkish forces within Syria are a red line. Ahmad Sharawi: Israel has been clear about its red lines and concerns over threats emanating from Syria. Since the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime in December 2024, Israel has maintained a security zone inside Syrian territory and conducted airstrikes against perceived threats, including military bases that were slated to host Turkish forces, such as the T4 airbase in central Syria, which Israel struck in February 2025 (FDD).

Trump Administration Sanctions Two Members of International Criminal Court
This as the administration seeks to dismantle the court that has sought—time and again—to bring U.S. citizens under its jurisdiction, in spite of the fact that we are not signatories to the court. CNN: US Secretary of State Marco Rubio targeted two International Criminal Court officials with new sanctions Tuesday amid his campaign to “dismantle” the court. Rubio announced in a statement he is imposing sanctions on ICC President Tomoko Akane, who is Japanese, and senior trial lawyer Abdoulaye Seye, who is Senegalese. “These individuals have directly engaged in efforts by the ICC to investigate, arrest, detain, or prosecute officials whose government has not consented to ICC jurisdiction,” he said. The ICC denounced the new sanctions, saying that they “undermine the rule of law” (CNN). More from Secretary of State Rubio: The ICC’s interfering with American military and law enforcement operations isn’t only a grave overreach of its purported authorities. It would mean the death of the U.S. as a sovereign and independent nation. Our decision and our people would be at the mercy of the ICC and its collaborators in the “international community.” To accept the ICC is to surrender control of our national destiny. Perhaps more polite and compliant nations could make their peace with that arrangement. But this is America. Our forefathers fought a revolution against a foreign power “transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences.” Independence is our birthright. We don’t intend to trade it for rule by a self-appointed priesthood of “international law” (State).

UK Issues Special Guidance to Undocumented Immigrants on How to Avoid Rape Charges
The booklet come from the government’s Home Office. The men are reminded that women don’t need permission from a man to work or make decisions. They are also reminded that women need to consent to have sex. BBC: A nine-page booklet covering issues including respect in public, sex and consent, and gender equality, has gone online, with guidance on how laws and customs in the UK may be different from the home country of asylum seekers. The Conservatives’ shadow home secretary Chris Philp said: “Instead of trying to train these mainly young, male illegal immigrants behave in a civilised way towards women, they should be deported.” … The booklet sets out how asylum seekers must understand UK law, because the consequences of breaking the law mean “you could get in trouble with the police, lose your asylum support, or it could affect your asylum claim.” A section on gender explains that women in the UK have equal rights to men, and do not need the permission from a husband, father, brother or any other man to do things like work, study, travel, or make decisions. Another section on sex and consent sets out how both people must agree to sex or sexual contact of any kind, and consent cannot be given if someone is asleep, drunk, or unable to respond (BBC). Martin Daubney of GB News: If they’re having to teach men from different cultures not to rape children, is that an admission we’re importing dangerous men? (GB News). The guidebook: (Gov.uk).

It’s Time to Resist the Sharia-ization of America
That’s the argument from Townhall columnist Kurt Schlicter: You must be in active and conscious denial not to recognize the threat, because it’s there in a million videos and a million public statements. It’s a power move for them to tell you what they intend to do. Fanatical Muslims make no attempt to hide their goal because they know that American leftists aren’t going to push back against them. That goal is domination. The mosque building, political organizing, and the conduct of rituals in public spaces are all acts of dominance…. The Republican Party needs to understand the threat and face it forthrightly. So do we as individuals. Stop caring if they call you Islamophobic. Stop caring if they call you racist. Stop caring about anything they say. Oppose the expansion of Islamic domination. Oppose the imposition of sharia law in any form. And, vitally, demand that the immigration pipeline be shut off and that radical Muslim activists who want to undermine our country and are already here be deported, including after being denaturalized if necessary…. Thicken your skin…. You can either allow yourself to be intimidated into silence and effectively submit, or you can understand and accept the reality of what’s going on and understand and accept the reality that we’re going to have to forcefully reject this alien ideology in our politics, in our culture, and by any means necessary (Townhall).
