Earlier this week, President Trump launched another apparent attack on voting by mail - even though he himself votes that way.
Expressing doubts about the integrity of the vote-by-mail process in North Carolina, the President suggested that his supporters should vote by mail and then also vote in-person at a polling place - just to test the security of the system.
CNN reached out to me for comment, and here's what I said:
I stand by the analogy.
This is no time to play games with our election system. It's okay to question voting systems. It's dangerous to suggest criminal activity.
The stakes are high in this election. Vote early - but please (and I can't believe I even need to say this) . . . vote only once.
In the meantime, I'll keep standing up for democracy.
