Americans are sick and tired of leaders who refuse to fight for them.
Sick and tired of being told to wait, to settle, and to accept a cruel, for-profit healthcare system that puts corporate profits ahead of their lives.
Sick and tired of watching politicians take Big Pharma’s money, protect the status quo, and then throw up their hands and claim there’s nothing they can do.
I hear it everywhere I go.
The demand is clear: bold, unapologetic leadership that will fight to make our lives more affordable.
And at the top of that list, every single time? Healthcare.
John, I’ve spent my career fighting to make healthcare a right — not a privilege reserved for those who can afford it.
Nearly a decade ago, I introduced the Medicare for All Act because I knew we could build a healthcare system that puts people, not profits, first. I’ve proudly reintroduced it in every session since.
And I’m not backing down now.
After everything I’ve seen this summer — the grassroots organizing, the growing progressive movement, and the strong, inspiring candidates proudly running on Medicare for All — I know this fight is stronger than ever.
We have the people. We have the movement. And we have what it takes to win Medicare for All. Now we need to keep organizing, keep fighting, and make sure every working family in America can finally get the healthcare they deserve.

Here’s what I know in my bones: we do not suffer from scarcity in this country. We suffer from greed.
The greed of predatory insurance corporations that rake in billions while denying care.
The greed of Big Pharma gouging drug prices and leaving working people with impossible choices, between filling prescriptions and buying groceries.
The greed of a callous for-profit healthcare system that lets corporate interests determine who lives and who dies.
And too many working families know exactly what the devastating consequences of that greed looks like.
85 million Americans are uninsured or underinsured. 1 in 4 can’t afford their prescription drugs. Over 500,000 families go bankrupt every single year because of medical debt. And more than 60,000 people die every year because they cannot afford to see a doctor.
A new Yale study just confirmed what we’ve been saying for years: Medicare for All would save over 114,000 lives per year and more than $1 trillion in national health spending.
Where do those savings come from?
These are the facts that Republicans and their corporate donors don’t want you to hear, because it threatens their grip on power and their profits.
They can’t win on the facts, so they’re spending billions to keep us divided, confused, and convinced that change is impossible.
That is a moral catastrophe. And it is completely, utterly preventable.
But change is not impossible, John. Change is inevitable when we organize for it. We just have to continue fighting and as my friend Abdul El-Sayed always says, we have to build the political will to get it done.
And that’s exactly what I’ve done. I’ve been on the ground all summer knocking on doors, organizing volunteers, and rallying voters alongside the incredible Medicare For All candidates who won’t back down until healthcare is guaranteed for every single person in this country.
But I need you with me on this. We win by standing shoulder to shoulder, and right now, this fight is too big, too important to sit out.
