It won't surprise you that I'm asking you to make a contribution to our campaign today. But you deserve to know why I'm asking.
Here's the reason: Winning the Democratic primary by 43 points was a huge milestone — but it wasn't the finish line. It was the starting line for the next phase of this campaign.
Now we're building the operation we'll need to communicate with voters across the District, grow our grassroots movement, and take the fight for D.C. autonomy nationwide. There are House races across Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and beyond that will decide who controls Congress. And those elections will affect every family here in the District.
So our campaign is helping organize volunteers, build support, and strengthen Democratic campaigns in the competitive House districts that will decide the majority.
The truth is, campaigns don't coast after winning a primary. They either keep growing — or they lose momentum.
We're choosing to keep growing — so that we can continue fighting for D.C. values, keep up the fight for statehood, and ensure that all Washingtonians can live with dignity in our nation’s capital.
