Dear Friend of Life,
“When I first found out I was pregnant, it was probably the scariest thing in the world.”
Those are Sonya’s words.
“It’s one of those moments where you don’t know where to turn or what to do.”
Sonya was seriously considering abortion.
But by God’s grace, PreBorn! met her in that frightening moment with compassion and support. And during an ultrasound, she had the opportunity to hear her baby’s heartbeat.
“Hearing my baby’s heartbeat is beautiful,” she said.
Sonya ultimately chose to embrace motherhood.
Friend of Life, somewhere today, another woman is experiencing the fear Sonya remembers so clearly.
But increasingly, that woman may never walk through the doors of a pregnancy clinic on her own.
She may reach for her phone instead.
Today, approximately 70% of abortions happen through abortion pills. A frightened woman can go online, find an abortion provider, and obtain pills to end her pregnancy without ever setting foot inside an abortion facility.
That is why PreBorn! is working to reach her before abortion does.
PreBorn! is a Christian ministry dedicated to saving babies from abortion and seeing lives transformed through the gospel of Jesus Christ. Through our Virtual Care System, we can reach women looking online for answers and create opportunities for them to connect with registered nurses who care about both mother and baby.
A nurse can listen to what she is facing, answer her questions, help identify the pressures influencing her decision, and connect her with a local PreBorn! Network Clinic for an ultrasound and continued support. When welcomed, she can also pray with the mother and offer her the hope of Jesus Christ.
Think about what could happen if we reach the next Sonya first.
Instead of finding only an abortion provider, she can find someone who cares. Instead of making a life-altering decision alone, she can receive compassionate support. And instead of ending the life of her baby, she can have the opportunity to see her child on an ultrasound and discover another path forward.
Right now, our goal is to reach 500 women facing unexpected pregnancies by August 31.
Will you help us reach the next one?
