Hi John,
We have something to celebrate! Houston and Brownsville are now on the November ballot!
Thousands of people across two Texas cities turned a stalled ballot process into two officially qualified elections.
That did not happen by accident.
It happened because people organized.
In Houston, nearly 40,000 signatures became the Houston Freedom Act on the November ballot. In Brownsville, more than 8,000 residents signed the Brownsville First Jobs & Contracts petition. And when the City officials tried to leave the final steps until the very last possible second, organizers, petition signers, allies, attorneys, and community members came together to make sure voters got their chance to decide.
This is what people-powered organizing looks like.

We put together a behind-the-scenes look at how we got here →
You can see the organizing, pressure, communications, legal strategy, and community power that turned these two campaigns into ballot victories.
And we want you to see it because this is what your support makes possible.
Houston and Brownsville are not the finish line. They're proof of what is possible when we build power from the ground up.
Now, voters will get the final say. And that's exactly how it should be.
Will you make a contribution today to help power this movement through November and beyond?
Because these ballot wins are not the end of the work. They are what happens when we invest in people, build lasting relationships, and organize communities to take power into their own hands.
Now, we have to take this momentum into November — and keep building long after Election Day.
Juntos,
