Mario Guerrero, a Latino business leader in South Texas, voted for Donald Trump. Now, he regrets it.

When I spoke with Mario and other Latino business leaders in Texas last weekend, they told me they didn’t vote for ICE to target their neighbors and workers. They didn’t vote for families to live in fear or for an indiscriminate enforcement system that one business leader said is “literally killing the American dream.”

We need an immigration enforcement system that keeps our communities safe by focusing on dangerous criminals — not one that terrorizes families, workers, and neighborhoods.

That’s why I’m calling on Congress to abolish ICE as it currently exists and replace it with an accountable enforcement agency that respects due process and targets genuine threats to public safety.

I’ve put forward an ICE Accountability and Reform Plan to end abuse, establish real accountability, and create a more humane and effective immigration system.

Here’s what we are demanding:

✅ Tear down and replace ICE with an agency that has oversight.

✅ Vote no on any DHS bill that funds ICE.

✅ Repeal the multi-year $75 billion funding for ICE.

✅ End qualified immunity for ICE agents.

✅ Investigate and prosecute every single ICE agent who broke the law.

✅ End the Kavanaugh stops with racial profiling and the militarization of ICE.

✅ Codify a use-of-force standard so courts can enforce the law against rogue ICE agents.

✅ Prohibit masks and mandate body cameras and visible identification for immigration officers.

✅ Establish human rights standards at immigration detention facilities.

But we need Democrats across the country to stand with us.
