Friend—what you’re about to read is a story of political corruption in its purest form.

We’ve all seen the reports of sudden, unexplained cutbacks at the U.S. Postal Service. These cuts threaten on-time delivery of prescriptions and paychecks that people need—not to mention a national election in which the mail will play an outsized role due to COVID-19.

To top it off, people wondered why Mitch McConnell has spent the last three months blocking $25 billion in critical funding for the post office.

This week, we found out why, and it’s truly jaw-dropping: Robert M. Duncan, the USPS chairman overseeing these recent cuts, also happens to be a director of the Senate Leadership Fund, Mitch’s super PAC.

McConnell’s allies have decided that slowing down the mail will help them in the election, and so they’re doing everything they can to sabotage the system—no matter how many veterans won’t get prescriptions on time, or how many families living paycheck to paycheck will fall behind.

When people talk about the brazen corruption of the D.C. swamp, this is what they mean. Maybe the worst part of it is, they’re betting they can get away with it. And if they can manage to hold on to power, they just might.

This election is about throwing the bums out, plain and simple. And Amy needs your help to do it. If you can, chip in and let’s bring an end to the culture of corruption and obstruction that Mitch has built for himself:
