I know you’re seeing and feeling this too — maybe there’s a data center going up along your route to work, or even in your backyard. These massive, windowless buildings that seem to stretch on forever can be overwhelming to see.

Data centers operate around the clock and require a tremendous amount of energy — increasing our own utility bills, monopolizing our water supplies, replacing our jobs, polluting our air, and exacerbating the climate crisis, not to mention the noise disturbing our neighborhoods. The affordability, community, and environmental ramifications are tremendous.

This is our city, our county, our state. Big tech shouldn’t define our future: we should.
