Prevention Through Deterrence was created with hot summer months in mind. The current construction and expansion of the border wall continues to carry on these same repressive ideas as over 25 years ago.
The canyons we have recently visited are some of the most remote and hardest treks one can attempt to make. When we are out there, we do our desert cleanup while leaving water and supplies. We also try our best to get a good understanding of how fresh the movement is through that particular area. We want to make sure we're leaving water and food where they are most needed.
Thank you to everyone on our team who continues to join us week after week, regardless of the weather. and putting their bodies on the line to do some good. We have not, and will not leave the desert. As long as people are crossing through, we’ll be there.
Since temperatures are still extreme, we are still only taking experienced Water Drop volunteers out. As soon as we can safely take new volunteers we will.
Keep on sharing our posts with friends and family. Keep on making donations, even if it's a small amount! This allows us to continue our work.
If you have any questions about Water Drops, reach out to Water Drop Program Co-Director James Cordero, [email protected].
Thank you for your continued support!
