Learning to share is just one of the many skills children learn in high-quality early education programs, like Head Start. Sadly, too many kids are missing out on these critical programs. Urge your senators to help change that!

Hi John -

While kids are heading back to classrooms all over America, members of Congress will soon return to Washington, DC from their month-long recess. When they get back, one of their big priorities will be passing a funding bill that includes several early learning programs, like Head Start, child care assistance and preschool.

These programs are critical to kids like Rider and Easton. Because they participated in Head Start, these boys will be kindergarten ready. Unfortunately, just a fraction of eligible children have access to these programs. Those left out often start school behind and never catch up.

The House of Representatives has already passed a spending bill with robust funding for these vital early learning programs. Now it’s up to the Senate.

Will you contact your senators today and urge them to protect funding for Head Start, child care and preschool?

Parents are their kids’ first and best teachers but high-quality preschool and child care – especially for kids living in poverty – ensure more children have an equal opportunity to succeed.

We don’t have much time to influence the Senate! They plan to wrap up their work on this spending bill in the next few weeks.

It’s urgent we show them that everyday Americans care about helping kids start life strong with quality early education.

Please don’t wait – send your senators a message today!

Thank you for being a voice for kids,

Mark Shriver, CEO
