Friend,

From $300,000 price tags to raise a child, to the sky high prices of gas
and groceries, to earning just 64 cents on the father's dollar, moms
across the country are feeling a massive economic squeeze right now.

[ [link removed] ]When lawmakers give moms lemons, we don't just pucker up—we make loud,
organized, change-making lemonade together! You can make a difference by
hosting a fun Trivia Night!

This August, while members of Congress are home for August Recess, we’re
hosting "Main Squeeze Trivia" gatherings across the nation—and we want you
to host one! No need to stress, we will provide the questions, answers,
and a pretty incredible playlist.

Whether it's 3 friends around your kitchen table, a backyard, park or
library hangout, or a Zoom room, hosting takes just 60 minutes and turns a
fun gathering into real civic power.

Hi, Friend,

Ever thought: “Wow, I’d love to have some friends over, but I’m not sure
what we’d DO?” Well we have you covered with a [ [link removed] ]Main Squeeze Trivia
Night Game – and in good news, this game doubles as a power-building
moment to help stop the runaway costs of healthcare, child care, gas,
food, everything.

>How? [ [link removed] ]History shows us that building power for much-needed solutions is
often created one conversation at a time. And a trivia night is a great
way to spark those nation-lifting conversations.

[ [link removed] ]*Click here to learn more about how you can gather a couple friends to
discuss what’s "squeezing" you, drink some lemonade, and be part of an
effective movement!

Here’s how you can power-up while drinking some "Moms Feel the Squeeze”
lemonade:

Just invite a couple friends over, pour some lemonade, and feel the power
grow! When you signup for info, we’ll email you a toolkit that includes
options for power-building activities like the following:

* Main Squeeze Trivia: Want some laughs? Engage your group in a quick
trivia game (we’ll provide the questions and answers!).
* Get Out the Vote: Get ready to help get out the vote!
* Share Your Lemons: Grab a lemonade and have a chat about the annoying
"cost shocker" squeezes everyone is facing this year.
* Write a "Lemonade Letter" to Congress: Pass around blank sheets of
paper and write a quick, hand-written note to your member of Congress
about how the squeeze is impacting your life. Snap a photo of the
letter and send it to us—we’ll personally deliver it to Capitol Hill!
(Bonus points if you or your kids draw a lemon on the letter!)

before your gathering.

We can’t make lemonade out of this total lemon of an affordability crisis;
but we can work together to fix it. And all of us are needed because the
affordability crisis is all too real:

* Child care costs more than college.
* Less than half of Americans can afford health care.
* We are one of only 6 nations on planet earth without paid family and
medical leave.
* Elder care, disability care, home- and community-based services are
too often out of reach.
* Care workers aren’t paid living wages.

Moms are beyond squished. But it doesn’t have to be this way!!

One glass of lemonade at a time, we can build power to move our country in
a better, more affordable direction simply by having fun, sipping lemonade
with a friend or two, sharing how we’re each squished by the high costs
of, well, everything. And maybe even writing a postcard to Congress
telling them to get their priorities in order.

[ [link removed] ]Can you gather a couple of friends for a Moms Feel the Squeeze
Conversation in August? We’ll make it fun and easy. Click here for more
information!

While this is a big moment to make our voices heard, it’s also an
essential time to come together with friends and neighbors. Our
communities are what sustain us and propel us forward during times like
these.

History shows what we all know in our hearts: When moms come together, we
move mountains. You don't need a fancy setup or a giant crowd—just a
pitcher of lemonade, a couple of friends, and the passion to open avenues
for families to thrive. You are a crucial part of this movement, and
together, we are going to move forward the solutions we all need.

[ [link removed] ]Sign up here, and we’ll share more information on how to get involved.

Thank you for everything you do for our kids and communities.
