Patriot,
“I always feel like, somebody’s watching me.”
And it’s true.
Every time you pull out of your driveway, onto a highway, or into a parking lot, there’s a great chance you’re being watched . . . and tracked.
Automated License Plate Readers and AI-powered cameras capture and analyze images of all passing vehicles.
But they do much more than read your license plate . . . storing details like your car's location, date, and time. They capture your car's make, model, color, and identifying features such as dents, roof racks, and bumper stickers . . . all turned into searchable data points.
These cameras collect data on millions of vehicles regardless of whether the driver is suspected of a crime or not.
And the data is accessed and searched by local, state, and federal law enforcement . . . without a warrant.
Not only that, but a report from earlier this year confirmed the cameras are frequently plagued by security vulnerabilities, including broadcasting footage directly to the open internet!
That means any criminal with an internet connection could track you in real time . . . to learn your daily habits, schedules, and routines.

IT’S TIME TO END
THE SURVEILLANCE STATE ([link removed])! ([link removed])
You’re told these systems are indispensable tools to fight crime, but what happens when the criminals are the ones behind the cameras?
These spy cameras -- many of them produced by a company called Flock -- note your movements and record every feature of your vehicle.
Fortunately, Rep. Thomas Massie has introduced H.R.8470 -- the Surveillance Accountability Act, which will ban the federal government from accessing any of these databases without a warrant.
The bill clearly says the government must follow the 4th Amendment:
“No search may be conducted without a warrant issued by a neutral and detached magistrate upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched and the persons or things to be seized.”
The bills goes onto state:
“The government shall not access any data, metadata, or personal information held by a third party, including financial services providers, telecommunication service providers, internet service providers, cloud storage companies, or data brokers, without a valid warrant, regardless of whether the third party consents or cooperates.”
If the government wants to spy on you, they need to follow the Constitution and get a warrant!

Patriot, the truth is, winning the battle against the surveillance state means you and I must also take action at the state and local levels.
But passing H.R. 8470 is a critical piece of the puzzle.
The good news is many localities are shutting down their camera contracts because of pushback from good patriots across the country.
Americans are tired of being treated like criminals by the very people who claim to be “serving” them!
And to add insult to injury -- you have to pay for these cameras!
One local police force in Virginia revealed they installed six new spy cameras last year at a price tag of $33,000 per year.
They boast it didn’t cost the county citizens anything . . . because the money to pay for the spy cameras came from a state grant!
Robbing Peter to pay Paul.
But what is even worse than the fact you’re paying for the government to spy on you . . . is that your constitutional rights are being violated.
It’s time to shut Big Brother down!

P.S. Local governments are using your tax dollars to spy on YOU!
They pay to install the spy cameras . . . storing details like your car's location, date, and time. They capture your car's make, model, color, and identifying features such as dents, roof racks, and bumper stickers.
