Defeating Donald Trump in November is critically important — but it’s not the whole picture.
When we send Trump packing and elect Joe Biden as President, we also have to make sure Mitch McConnell is no longer the Senate Majority Leader.
Otherwise, he’ll continue to block progress on every single issue that matters to Mainers and Americans.
So here comes the part where we ask:
Democrats need to flip 4 Senate seats in order to take back the majority — and that math becomes almost impossible unless we win in Maine.
The good news is we know we can do it. Cook Political Report and Politico have both ranked our race a “toss-up.” Several recent polls show Sara Gideon in the lead over Susan Collins.
If we keep pushing as hard as we can in these final weeks before election day, we will flip this Senate seat.
