DHS Confirms Cases of Measles in Grant County

" Unvaccinated remain most at risk as number of cases increase in Southwestern Wisconsin "

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) and Grant County Health Department have confirmed two cases of measles in Grant County residents. The two new cases are related to confirmed cases in Lafayette and Iowa Counties, and are part of an outbreak in Southwestern Wisconsin. Based on ongoing investigations, cases in the region have now increased to 36 confirmed and 3 probable cases.

Public health officials across each county continue the work to identify and notify people who may have been exposed to the measles virus. At this time, no public exposure locations have been identified in connection with these cases. To protect individual privacy, no additional personal identifying or health information will be released by DHS.
