Thanks to you: ADA Camp provides a lasting impact for children with diabetes.
|
The American Diabetes Association® (ADA) wanted to take a moment to thank you for all the support you provide to our vital research and programs, like ADA Camp. |
Growth at camp happens in both big and quiet, powerful ways. Independence often begins with small but meaningful moments, like trying a new insulin pump site for the first time, talking one-on-one with medical staff, or learning how to manage diabetes devices while climbing a rock wall or swimming.
|
Becky has been an ADA Camp director for 25 summers, describing her experience as both an honor and privilege. Over the years, Becky has watched campers grow into confident young adults, often returning as counselors, lead staff, and members of camp medical teams. |

|
"It’s never just about one summer. It’s about the long view—seeing how camp shapes confidence, leadership, compassion, and resilience over a lifetime. Being part of that journey is something I never take for granted." |

Diabetes is a hard, lifelong condition, and no one should have to navigate it alone. For Becky, the most growth happens through connection. At ADA Camp, kids are surrounded by people who understand what life with diabetes is really like—and that sense of belonging can be life changing. |
Thanks to loyal donors like you, Becky and other camp staff can make a lasting impact on the lives of children living with diabetes. Plus, millions of others who are living with diabetes in the U.S. can turn to the ADA for resources, community, and support throughout their journey. |
With gratitude, The American Diabetes Association |
