Healey-appointed Parole Board members have released convicted murderers and violent criminals, including the Memorial Drive shooter. Energy costs. Massachusetts families are paying some of the highest electricity rates in the country while Healey piles on surcharges and fees. Accountability. Healey has reportedly refused to cooperate with the State Auditor for more than 18 months. Massachusetts is falling behind. Our tax competitiveness, cost of doing business, electricity rates, and business growth have all moved in the wrong direction. Fraud. Healey has failed to adequately address widespread fraud involving SNAP, MassDOT, and Medicare. Local services. Unrestricted local aid has fallen to its lowest share of the state budget in 20 years, while the state budget has grown by $10 billion. Bad judgment. Healey backed Graham Platner before his controversial record became public. That didn't age well. Healey's allies & priorities. Healey said nothing as Mayor Wu proposed cuts to veterans and firefighters while raising her own salary and adding patronage hires. Empty offices. One in four Boston office spaces is now vacant, up from just 5% in 2019. No record to run on. More than half of Massachusetts voters can't name a single Healey accomplishment after three and a half years in office. Affordability. Housing and the cost of living have deteriorated so badly that 56% of residents are considering leaving Massachusetts. Public health and safety. Healey has known about sewer bypass problems in Haverhill for years. Massachusetts deserves a governor who makes public safety a priority. Questionable hires.
