If there is one thing I have learned in more than 20 years of pro-life activism, it is this: The abortion industry and its allies work to silence the truth because where the truth is told, abortion is exposed.

They know that controlling the language is the only way to make abortion acceptable to people, so they rely on public ignorance, euphemisms, and outright lies.

And when these deceptions start to fail, they turn to another, equally sinister tactic — silencing pro-life speech.

Last month, a well-funded, pro-abortion legal group issued a cease-and-desist letter against Live Action regarding several stories published by Live Action News. This letter contained numerous false and legally indefensible claims and demands, but at the heart of the matter was this complaint: We called abortion “killing.”

They want us to stop telling the truth about abortion… forever.

The plain and simple truth is that abortion is an act of killing. It deliberately and intentionally ends the life of a living human child.

Whether by cutting off vital nutrients from the baby through the abortion pill, or violently dismembering the baby with powerful suction or metal forceps, or poisoning the baby with feticide and then delivering him or her, the intended outcome of an abortion is a dead baby.

Live Action’s mission is to defend the right to life of every child, born and preborn. Our journalism gives a voice to these children who cannot speak for themselves and exposes the truth about abortion.

So this is my promise to you, John: As long as Live Action exists, we will NEVER stop speaking the truth.
