August is usually a slow month in politics. Everyone’s squeezing in the last vacation days, spending time with family, and enjoying the end of summer.
But with so many people’s attention elsewhere, our fundraising has slowed down too. Right now, we’re pacing behind our August goal.
We’re hopeful things will pick back up in September. The problem is, so much of the work we need to do to win back the House in November needs to happen now.
We still need to hire organizers, reserve ads, and build up our voter outreach network across the district. Every week we fall behind makes that work harder.
