I Was Verbally Assaulted Outside the White House. Here is How I Responded.

By: Jim Daly

I had worked throughout last Thursday in Washington on a variety of Focus on the Family projects — a meeting with some supporters of the ministry, was interviewed by a reporter and did some filming for The Daily Citizen. Since I was already in town, I decided to accept an invitation to attend on my own time President Trump’s speech on the South Lawn of the White House.

Inside on the wide, green lawn of the White House, directly opposite the famed South Portico of the mansion, I heard Jesus’ name praised and proclaimed by the Reverend Franklin Graham and numerous other speakers.

There was Alice Johnson, a non-violent drug offender who spoke about God’s grace and forgiveness. And I heard the heart-breaking testimony of Carl and Marsha Mueller, parents of Kayla, who was kidnapped, repeatedly raped and murdered by ISIS terrorists. They told the world how their beautiful 25-year-old daughter found God in the suffering of her extended and horrendous captivity.

Light and life, redemption and forgiveness.

Stepping off the White House grounds, I was immediately confronted by angry individuals who hurled profane insults at me. They let loose with a verbal barrage I’ve never personally encountered — which is saying something given my upbringing in a rough section of Southern California.

“Why are you not responding?” one person screamed at me.

Anarchist Educators — Preschool, Elementary and University Teachers Arrested in Protests in Portland
By: Brittany Raymer

This year, parents across the country will have the unique opportunity to see how educators are teaching their children, which, if Portland, Oregon is any indication, is more important now than ever. Arrest records indicate that several of those arrested for participating in the Antifa and anarchist backed riots in Portland are educators, from preschool teachers to university professors.

In response to the death of George Floyd, anarchists, Antifa and other anti-government groups have used the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement to cause chaos in cities across the country, especially Portland. The city has seen more than 90 days of protests and riots, including a shooting death this weekend.

‘In Defense of Looting’ — New Book Argues for Rioting and ‘Shopping for Free’
By: Jeff Johnston

In Defense of Looting: A Riotous History of Uncivil Action, a new book by Vicky Osterweil, seeks to justify rioting and looting as legitimate “strategies of wealth redistribution and improving life for the working class,” according to the book’s publisher.

The book offers, “A fresh argument for rioting and looting as our most powerful tools for dismantling white supremacy.” The author, “a writer, editor, and agitator,” is transgender-identified – born male, but living as a woman.

Osterweil told National Public Radio’s (NPR) “Code Switch,” “Looting strikes at the heart of property, of whiteness and of the police. It gets to the very root of the way those three things are interconnected.”

CDC Reports that 94% of COVID–Related Deaths Involved Other Causes
By: Bruce Hausknecht

The United States Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recently published a weekly report regarding COVID-19 that has created a media stir over its meaning. The controversy was amplified by President Donald Trump’s retweet of another user’s summary that was later removed by Twitter for violating its community standards regarding COVID-19 reporting.

The CDC’s weekly report, dated August 26, compiles statistics taken from death certificates of any American whose cause of death listed COVID-19 as at least one of the contributing factors. Those other factors, called comorbidities, could include medical issues such as a heart, respiratory or circulatory condition that contributed to the patient’s death.

The CDC’s specific finding that caused a Twitter kerfuffle was this: “For 6% of the deaths, COVID-19 was the only cause mentioned. For deaths with conditions or causes in addition to COVID-19, on average, there were 2.6 additional conditions or causes per death.”

Political Execution in Portland? Media Omits Victim’s Support of Trump, Shooter’s Ties to Antifa.

Aaron Danielson took part in a pro-Trump caravan on Saturday, August 29 organized by the right-leaning Patriot Prayer group.

It appears that for his political beliefs, he was murdered.

The Patriot Prayer group states that it is an advocate for “freedom,” “free speech” and “gun rights.”

On Saturday, nearly 1,000 vehicles displaying their support for President Trump took part in a demonstration that began in Clackamas, Oregon. Their journey took them through Portland, and several fights broke out along the way with counterdemonstrators.

Around 9 PM that evening, Danielson was shot.
