We exceeded $1 million in candidate fundraising – and we're ready to go even bigger in 2020!

Earlier this week, we shared that the Sister District community exceeded $1 million in donations to our 2020 candidates. To say I am floored is an understatement. Not only have we blown through every goal we set this cycle, we’ve raised more in 6 months than any year prior. And election season is not over yet!

This is the power of the grassroots. So far, we have raised an average of nearly $30k per candidate, and our average donation size is just $31. We are doing exactly what we set out to do – make a massive, outsized impact in these critical 37 state legislative races that will shape politics for years to come.

But our work doesn’t end here. You helped us add more candidates to our slate this summer. Now, with your continued support, we can go even bigger and expand our map one more time! When I founded Sister District four years ago, I couldn’t possibly have dreamed we would be where we are today. Together, we have helped elect 51 Democrats to legislative seats and flipped 5 chambers. We have grown to nearly 50,000 volunteers, and we have reached out to over 2.2 million voters via phones, postcards, and texts. We are the change we were waiting for!

There are barely two months until Election Day. If we keep up this enthusiasm and resolve all the way through November 3, we can get our country back on track. Thank you for continuing the fight. You are making a difference!
