I don’t want to be all doom and gloom to start the week, but the reality is that this past weekend was painfully tough on our digital fundraising.

To be clear, the sky is not falling. But what started as a fundraising dip has devolved into a full-blown summer slump, and the timing is less than ideal.

Until a few weeks ago, we had the edge in voter outreach. But with Lahn flooding the airwaves with $700k worth of ads every week, he’s trying to even the scoreboard.

If fundraising doesn’t pick up soon, we won’t be able to keep pace on the airwaves, giving Zach Lahn the inside track in an already neck-and-neck race.

That’s why I’m turning to you — You’re the X factor that can swing this race back in our favor. And that’s something Kansas Zach can’t buy.

If we get a fundraising boost today, we can wipe the slate clean and start the week with a little extra pep in our step — but right now, that’s a pretty big IF.
