With schools now open and the start of term underway, there is lots of advice available on how to travel safely to and from school.

Social distancing is still important, so we're encouraging parents and children to walk or cycle to school, if they can.

🚍Bus services

  • Racecourse Park & Ride has reopened to the public. Opening hours have been extended to 6am - 8:30pm Monday to Saturday. 

Robin Hood

  • While the travel centre in Victoria Bus Station is open most services are available online. Please use online services when you can as the travel centre is experiencing high demand.
  • From Monday 7 September, Robin Hood will be launching a student Pay as you Go card. Travel all day by bus or tram for just £4.20. Visit their website for more information...

Lane closure due to hoarding works.

Tuesday 1 September - Monday 7 September: Sherwood Vale (Porchester)
Two way signals outside no.32 and opposite Parkwood Crescent due to property upgrades.

Tuesday 1 September - Friday 11 September: Ashburnham Avenue (Lenton)
Suspension of parking outside the substation in Radford recreation ground due to substation works.

Sunday 6 September: Broad Street (Hockley)
Suspension of parking bays outside no.41 due to building inspection.

Monday 7 September - Wednesday 28 July: Cobden Street (Lenton)
Suspension of parking along Cobden Street to Stanfield Street junction on both sides due to demolition and redevelopment of old martial arts centre.

Monday 7 September: Bramerton Road (Bilborough)
Road closure and no stopping outside no.34 for manhole replacement works.

Monday 7 September: Electric Avenue (The Meadows)
Road closure and no stopping at the junction with Tottle Road roundabout for manhole replacement works.

Tuesday 8 September: Clanfield Road (Bilborough)
Road closure and no stopping outside no.11 for manhole replacement works.

Tuesday 8 September: Strelley Road (Bilborough)
Road closure outside no.173 for manhole replacement works.

Tuesday 8 September: Wigman Road (Bilborough)
Road closure and no stopping opposite no.2 for manhole replacement works.

Tuesday 8 September - Wednesday 9 September: St Albans Road (Bulwell)
Road closure of the level crossing between due to grinding train workings passing over the level crossing.

Thursday 10 September - Sunday 13 September: Westbury Road
Two way lights outside Simply Cartons while a new telecoms pole is installed.

Thursday 10 September - Friday 25 September: Eaton Street (Porchester)
Suspension of parking from rear of no.9 towards Woodborough Road on both sides due to new electrical supply placing.

Friday 11 September: Peel Street (Arboretum)
Road closure and no stopping at the junction with North Sherwood Street for manhole replacement works.

Friday 11 September: St Nicholas Street (City Centre)
Road closure and no stopping outside the Royal Children for manhole replacement works.


Highways England Clifton Bridge repairs

Highways England is continuing to carry out works to repair and strengthen the A52 Clifton Bridge.
