Friend,

Let me tell you where I come from, because I think it matters more than ever
in this election.

In 1979, I graduated at the top of my class at West Point and was commissioned
into the U.S. Army. Decades later, Mark Warner would try a different path to
power: after two failed businesses left him wondering how to make his mark, he
poured $10 million of his own money into a Senate campaign.

He lost. Money couldn't buy him the seat.

I didn't need millions of dollars to prove myself. In 1984, I was awarded a
Silver Star for risking my life against 30 enemy fighters to rescue a defector
in the DMZ. That's not a talking point —that's a debt I paid with my own hands,
in the field, when it counted.

By 1995, I was serving as a Professional Staff Member on the U.S. Senate Armed
Services Committee, learning how the institution actually works from the inside
— not by writing checks, but by doing the job.

Mark Warner eventually did buy his way into office, and once he got there,
his own administration was found to have transferred more than $1 million from
other agencies just to prop up his office.

Virginia deserves a senator who has actually served — who has led under fire,
who has studied how our government works from the inside, and who doesn't need
to buy an election to win one.

I'm running for the U.S. Senate because Virginia deserves better than career
politicians who treat public office as something to be purchased. I've spent my
life earning it.

If my story resonates with you, I need your help to get it in front of every
voter in Virginia.A contribution of $25, $50, or $100 today helps us compete
against Warner's massive war chest and tell voters the truth about who's
actually fighting for them.

Chip in now

, and let's give Virginia a senator who has actually served.

With gratitude and resolve,
