Dear friend,
Small businesses are the backbone of New Jersey and this country -- and right now, they're hurting.
That's one of the reasons why my team and I launched a small business community tour last week. Until Election Day we’ll be visiting each community in the district, spending time with small business owners and hearing directly from them about the challenges they’re facing. We're about 10 days into the tour and have made dozens of stops.

The most powerful part of these tours has been learning how members of our community are stepping up to help each other. I've heard from local business owners working hard to keep the lights on in difficult times so they can pay their employees. Many of them have told me about the donations they've made to our first responders -- even as their own business suffered. Across our district and the country, we've seen people step up to take care of each other.
What's clear to me is that national Republicans and President Trump aren't doing the same. Our businesses and frontline workers need help, but we keep seeing delay after delay on that help arriving. That's why I'm committed to keep working to deliver the aid so desperately needed to stop this pandemic and get our businesses back on firm footing.
I've spoken with the owners of local restaurants, distilleries, coffee shops, book stores, and more. Everyone is facing the impacts of this pandemic and economic recession differently, but no one has been left unaffected.
I'm dedicated to doing everything I can to help our local business recover fully. I have always fought for small businesses and hard working families -- that commitment is even stronger now. That's one of the reasons why the US Chamber of Commerce just endorsed our campaign.
When people in my community are struggling, I'll always be right there with them.
