Dear John,

Over the past few years, I've been honored to serve in the United States Senate with Chris Coons. Chris isn't just a colleague -- he's someone I work closely with, someone I turn to for advice, and also someone I'm proud to call my friend.

Chris and I both serve on the Judiciary Committee, where he is a critical voice on civil rights, criminal justice reform, and so many other key issues. Almost every day, Chris and I are working together to protect and expand voting rights, to reform our criminal justice system, and to try and stop Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell from putting extreme judicial nominees on the federal bench.

Every day, I see just how hard Chris is working for all of us, but now he needs our help. Chris is counting on our support to raise the resources he needs to win. Will you pitch in $5, or whatever you can, to help Chris?

In November, we have a real shot at taking back control of the Senate and ending Mitch McConnell's term as Senate Majority Leader, but to do that, we need to send Chris back to the Senate.

That's why I need your help to make sure Chris is reelected this November. And let me tell you, John, if we want to make progress on the issues we all care about, then this is critical.

So if you're able, please rush a contribution to Chris' campaign right away. Help us ensure he has the resources he needs to keep fighting in the Senate.

Thank you,

U.S. Senator, New Jersey

P.S. In addition to being an ally and friend, Chris and I share two of the best haircuts in the Senate! Please, rush support to his campaign to keep his style and conviction in the Senate
