Friend --

At least nine soldiers stationed at Fort Hood, including Vanessa Guillen, have died by homicide since January 2020. This includes soldiers who had previously reported being victims of sexual assault. Some of the victims have gone missing, only to be found dead months later.

The military’s consistent disregard for its personnel has caused us to lose our brave servicemembers at home, on American soil -- and we have to hold them accountable.

Just getting a report from the Department of Defense is not enough.

I am calling for a full independent investigation to track incidents, review officials at every rank, and make a plan to implement changes that will prevent further harm to our servicemembers. They have agreed to do so.

So, will you join me and sign your name demanding accountability from the Department of Defense, justice for the victims and families of servicemembers lost at Fort Hood, and protection from future harm at home? [[link removed]]

PROTECT OUR SERVICEMEMBERS [[link removed]]

In July, I added language to the Defense Appropriations Bill for Fiscal Year 2021 to ensure a review is conducted on the Defense Department’s policy for reporting sexual assault and its effectiveness in protecting victims, as well as holding offenders accountable. And I am dedicated to keeping up this fight.

But the more you and your communities are involved, the sooner we can bring justice to victims and prevent another senseless tragedy from happening at Fort Hood and other military bases around the country.

Sign your name to demand the Department of Defense is held accountable and protections for our brave servicemembers.

Thank you for speaking up,
