Howdy, John!

Hang on to your hats, Texas -- the New American Leaders Team is heading your way. On October 5, we are launching Ready to Rise, a new one-day training in Houston, Texas!

We need more #PeopleLikeUs involved in the political process in 2020 and beyond. That's why we are working with the Texas Organizing Project and other great local partners to host this new training and launch NAL's work in Texas so that more diverse leaders are empowered to stop the anti-immigrant policies caging kids in Texas and across the country, put an end to the rise of hate-fueled violence like we saw in El Paso, hold politicians accountable for purging voters of color, and much more.

Based on our signature Ready to Lead training, Ready to Rise will provide New Americans and people of color with an overview and blueprint of how to share our authentic stories, expand the electorate, and much more! Sound intriguing? Apply by September 20!

We can't wait to officially bring our movement to create an inclusive democracy to Texas. The only thing that could make it better is if we can count you in. Can't make it or know someone who should attend? Let us know -- we'll reach out to them! Scholarships are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, so be sure to note that in the application if you are interested!

Applications will be reviewed and acceptances released on a rolling basis, so be sure to send in your application today!

Happy trails,
Eva Masadiego
