Standing Against the Radical Shift
.
Recently, as highlighted in an article by The Hill, the resurfaced past comments of a far-left candidate underscore a concerning and radical shift occurring within the Democrat Party. For example, during a televised debate, progressive Michigan candidate Abdul El-Sayed had to defend past leaked comments where he suggested that progressives needed to rethink the way Americans celebrate Independence Day, suggesting the removal of fireworks. This is just one of several instances of controversial rhetoric from the far-left, including Francesca Hong—Democrat primary candidate for Wisconsin Governor—suggesting the cancellation of thanksgiving.
.
This far-left shift is not just a national issue—it is actively harming families right here in Illinois' 6th Congressional District.
.
Incumbent Democrat Sean Casten is part of this radical shift. Instead of focusing on policies that benefit the hardworking people of the 6th District, Congressman Casten is more concerned with messaging and satisfying the more radical elements of his party. For instance, Casten recently refused to condemn socialism, voting against a U.S. House measure that would have done so.
In stark contrast, Niki Conforti maintains a "district-first" mentality and is committed to delivering sensible solutions for her constituents. Niki will support legislation that benefits the 6th District, including:
* Stimulating Economic Growth: Niki will pass legislation that aims to stimulate economic growth and business activity. She will work to stimulate the return of manufacturing to the 6th District and provide relief by getting people back to work.
.
* Job Creation: In Congress, Niki will work to expand workforce training programs and help connect hard-working Illinoisans with good-paying jobs.
.
* Improving Infrastructure & Stopping Tax Hikes: We need infrastructure improvements, and Niki supports passing legislation for infrastructure funding—without stuffing the bill with special interest funding. She strongly opposes tax and fee hikes on Illinoisans and will work to curb the spending in Washington to stop tax increases on working families.
.
* Lowering Energy and Healthcare Costs: Niki will push for legislation that cuts regulations in the energy industry to make energy more resilient and more affordable. She will also tap into her professional expertise in the healthcare industry to push for legislation that increases transparency in medical billing, driving up competition in the healthcare marketplace to drive down prices for patients.
While her opponent caters to special interests and radical agendas, Niki Conforti will prioritize the voice of everyday citizens. It is time for sensible solutions that protect your wallet and secure our nation's financial future.
