I’m running for Congress, but I haven’t stopped waitressing here in Eau Claire.
I’ve been serving since I was a teenager — helping to put myself through school and make ends meet.
I love this job, and I think there’s real dignity in hospitality work. I also believe the lessons you learn waiting tables can apply everywhere, even in Congress.
This campaign is built on the same values you learn on the restaurant floor: hard work, respect, and showing up for people, no matter what.
I think Washington could use more of these values — and fewer career politicians and billionaires who’ve never worked waited tables in their life.
