John B, this has to stop.
Earlier this week, the federal government issued an executive order demanding that states revise their childhood vaccine recommendations to separate the measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine into 3 single-disease shots.
Let me be very clear: this recommendation puts children at higher risk of contracting one of these preventable diseases between appointments.
The President also claimed that children are getting “72 jabs” and that current vaccinations being used are “quite lethal”.
That is categorically false, and sharing that misinformation is extremely dangerous. The vaccines we give to children have been studied for decades and are proven to be safe and effective.
As a physician, I find it unacceptable that the President of the United States is making baseless claims that could lead to children dying of preventable diseases.
I’m running for Congress in FL-12 because our children and our communities deserve better.
They deserve to have access to healthcare and to not be berated with misinformation by politicians who have no medical background. We need leaders who will fight back against this administration and their lies about essential vaccines that keep our children safe.
If you want to help me get this quack science out of Washington and put physicians back in charge of public health, please chip in $5 or whatever you can to my campaign today.
Thank you,
Darren McAuley
