For years, this program collected $15,267,569 in taxpayer dollars under a single NIH grant.

They bred dogs to suffer from muscular dystrophy and subjected them to barbaric and deadly experiments.

Then they killed them. Repeated injections. Muscle biopsies. Limb twisting. All of it documented in FOIA records and videos that I obtained and put in front of the world.

The lab initially planned to apply for more of your tax dollars. But after a WCW campaign, UW finally confirmed the dog tests had ended. ([link removed])

Now it's gone.

Taxpayer, that's what happens when White Coat Waste exposes a wasteful and cruel program and refuses to let it hide.

Despite this victory, under 'animal testing czar' Deputy Director Nicole Kleinstreuer, NIH is still renewing and issuing brand new grants for wasteful and cruel dog experiments at labs across the country. I won't stop until the NIH zeroes out every last one. But I can only run as many investigations as we can afford to fund.
