This isn’t the email we were hoping to send. Last month, our team set an important online fundraising goal. We took into account our upcoming voter contact programs, staff costs, and other reelection effort costs.

A lot of people stepped up to help, and for that we’re incredibly grateful. But unfortunately, we ended up missing our goal. That means we’re starting off the month already behind, a little over 60 days away from Election Day.

We need to do everything in our power to start September off strong. That’s why I’m writing to you today: Will you make a grassroots contribution to help us make up for the August fundraising gap, and regain our momentum?

Trust us: We’d rather be using this opportunity to share good news with you, or informing you about a critical issue Ro is fighting for on Capitol Hill (There’s quite a few of them).

But right now, this is our most pressing issue. Our campaign refuses 100% of PAC donations – corporate or otherwise – because we believe in the importance of real, honest grassroots support.

If you can afford it right now, please make a contribution to Ro’s reelection campaign. He’s facing off against a fiercely Pro-Trump Republican, and your support helps send a message about the power of progressive candidates.

We’re not ringing the alarm bells yet. Our movement still has a ton of steam, and together, we are incredibly powerful. We know that we can make up the gap and keep up the fight for economic justice on Capitol Hill.
