Dear John,

The momentum is undeniable for elected officials accountable to we the people, not corrupt corporations. I felt it on the doors talking to my neighbors, at my polling place as I passed a “future voter” sticker to my child, and Tuesday night when Peggy Flanagan took the stage.

The Many beats the Money.
From New York and Michigan to Minnesota and Wisconsin, voters are overwhelmingly sending the message: we are leaving corporate Democrats behind for good and pushing our party to return to its roots, putting families and working people first and pushing back on greedy corporations, wannabe kings and the corruption they breed. Our politics are winning because we’ve organized for this moment for more than a decade.

We are also celebrating the wins of our other TakeAction-endorsed candidates: Ilhan Omar, Keith Ellison, and Christin Crabtree who won their primary races by sizable margins.

In a primary with millions in dark money against us, Minnesotans showed up in record-setting numbers to choose people directly from our movement – leaders with moral clarity who are already organizing alongside us to defend our communities from federal overreach and build something better.

Onward
We want fully funded schools – not genocide. Safe and stable homes – not mass deportations. Healthcare for All – not AI data centers. We want leaders up and down the ballot – from Senate to school board – who share our vision.

Elections have consequences and winning that vision requires winning at the ballot box. Through our organizing, we’re actively setting up the conditions to make our vision a reality. From now through January and beyond we will continue to choose agency and connection over fear and hopelessness. Through one-to-one conversations on front porches, at school pick-ups, in music venues, and at the polls – we will choose each other.
