Folks, quick arithmetic lesson. Yes, another one; I promise I have other talents:

Republicans hold the House by a razor-thin margin. Democrats need to flip just THREE seats to win back the majority.

In a chamber of 435 people, the difference between four more years of a rubber-stamp Congress and a House that actually holds Donald Trump accountable comes down to three seats.

I've spent this year traveling the country as the DCCC's Climate Chair, and I can tell you this majority is winnable. We saw it last November, when voters in New Jersey, Virginia, Mississippi, and Georgia turned out in droves to reject MAGA extremism up and down the ballot.

That energy hasn't faded. If anything, it's building as we head into the fall.

But winnable isn't the same as won. A three-seat margin is a nail-biter, and Republicans (plus their billionaire allies) aren't going to hand this majority back without a fight.

Oh, and to state the obvious: we have to defend every single Democratic-held seat, or that number shoots up.
