Dear Friend,

For the past six months, we have been learning collectively to adjust to the new reality of the global pandemic. During this time, there has been a necessary increase in conversations about reimagining our world, resulting in us collectively dreaming of a brand new world of compassion, interdependence, love and justice. A beloved community...

At POV we recognize the crucial need to reflect on the roles we play in violence intervention and prevention work, defending Black lives, and how we can better focus our time, energies, and skills to transform our world. This year has brought many new challenges that we continue to face, and despite this difficult reality, we see opportunities for building more mutual support and anti-racism work within our mission.

We invite you to read our Executive Leadership Team’s 6-month reflection on the pandemic ([link removed]) - an update on the challenges we have overcome, how we are reimagining our work, and the future we are building together.

** Building a Brave Space
------------------------------------------------------------

The Campaign for Peace Over Violence

Building a brave space not only encompasses a physical location, but it also involves the continuous embedding of intention and values. Every Monday in the month of September we highlight the values POV brings into the spaces and interactions we have with survivors and community members. These values serve as the building blocks for our violence intervention and prevention work and they are being woven into our new Headquarters.

Be sure to follow @peaceovrviolnce on Instagram and check our website for more updates on our work and our future home. Join us on this journey and learn more about our campaign and how you can get involved today!
