Here in Florida's first, we know just how essential climate justice is to our future.

In 2010, we experienced firsthand how destructive corporate negligence can be. The Deepwater Horizon oil spill is considered one of the largest environmental disasters in American history, and it left scars so deep that our fishing and tourism industries are still experiencing the effects over a decade later.

We can't afford to have another spill like this here in the Gulf or anywhere in the world. We are already feeling and seeing the effects of climate change with more intense hurricanes and record-breaking temperatures each summer. It's up to our government to hold polluters accountable and pass legislation that actively works to reverse climate change.
