John and I just got off MS NOW to talk about our historic unity ticket and what’s at stake if an election denier becomes governor of Arizona this November.
If you didn’t catch it live, The Weeknight host Michael Steele first asked me about my decision to choose a Republican-turned-Independent as my running mate. I told him that for me, this is about so much more than the politics of the moment.
Both John and I have spent our careers in public service governing in a way that reaches across the aisle, focuses on the issues, and delivers for the people we were elected to serve. At the end of the day, leadership is about bringing people together.
That’s a very stark contrast to my opponent, Andy Biggs, who has spent the last decade in Congress building one of the most extreme partisan records and consistently putting Washington’s agenda ahead of Arizonans.
As John said, this election-denying Congressman is trying to be in the governor’s office for the upcoming 2028 presidential election — there’s no question he’ll put his thumb on the scale to get an outcome that Donald Trump and Washington want.
So while Biggs continues to deny past election results and divide our communities, all while protecting predators and backing Washington’s cost-hiking agenda, John and I are going to focus on traveling around the state and meeting real Arizonans where they’re at ahead of this critical election.
