A couple weeks ago, Trump stood at the EPA headquarters and told
communities across the country they can’t fight data centers and the
corporations draining their water supply. He said they should just embrace
them.

Here’s the reality: across the country, corporations are quietly draining
America’s water supply. They’re spiking energy bills just to cool their
data centers and contaminating drinking water people depend on to survive.
And the ones paying the price are the working families who never got a say
on any of it.

But listen — Trump is wrong. Communities across the country have already
been fighting back against corporate water exploitation, and winning.

They’ll continue to do so with bold, principled leaders like our
candidates by their sides.

In Georgia, our candidate Ruwa Romman introduced the first statewide data
center moratorium in history.

Jacob Martinez and Armando Montero are fighting back in Arizona, where
corporations are pumping out groundwater that Arizonans have relied on for
decades. They’re both pushing for stricter groundwater protections and
corporate water transparency so communities — not corporations — get to
decide what happens with their resources.

And Leila Staton is running in Iowa, where industrial water users have
left communities facing contaminated drinking water and a water crisis so
severe it’s forcing watering bans across the state. She’s fighting to put
real restrictions on industrial water use and make corporations pay for
the damage they’ve caused.

These are the fights our candidates are taking on. And they’re doing it
because they come from these communities. They’ve lived the reality their
neighbors are facing, and they refuse to let corporations write the rules
while working families suffer.
