** Good Evening,
------------------------------------------------------------
It's Thursday, September 3rd.
** Stocks Fall
------------------------------------------------------------
U.S. stocks fell sharply today, driven by a broad decline in many of the technology firms that have led the market higher in recent months. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 811 points, or 2.8 percent, to 28,290 as of the 4 p.m. close of trading in New York, suggesting that investors may be taking a breather following a rally that sent the Dow industrials above 29,000 for the first time since February a day earlier, as the

** Merkel Pressured
------------------------------------------------------------
German Chancellor Angela Merkel faced growing pressure today to take a harder line with Moscow following confirmation that Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny was poisoned with a nerve agent. Members of Merkel’s own party insisted that the chancellor should respond by canceling the Nord Stream 2 pipeline project, as the

Tomorrow, the Rolling Stones will release “Goats Head Soup 2020,” an updated version of their 1973 album featuring an all-new stereo mix, three unheard tracks, plus demos, outtakes, live performances & more. “Goats Head Soup” wasn’t one of the Stones most important records by any stretch. Critics didn’t like it; fans tolerated it. With time, it sounds better though. Of course it did contain one Stones classic, “Angie,” the Keith Richards-penned track that put the Stones back at number 1 on the charts beside Elton John.
Perhaps the best thing that came out of Goats Head Soup was that the Stones recorded much of the album in Jamaica, and because of that, the musical island became Keith Richards’ second home—a place he would draw inspiration from in decades to come through present day.
The best track I’ve heard so far from “Goats Head Soup 2020” is one of the previously unreleased numbers, “Scarlet,” a song that features both Richards and Jimmy Page on guitar. Take a listen, [link removed].
