Friends, Betsy DeVos is trying to siphon millions of dollars of relief funding away from our public schools. I'm leading the fight to stop her, and if you're with me, I need you to sign on and be one of 5,000 supporters to take a stand against Betsy DeVos right now.

In March, my colleagues and I passed the CARES Act to provide urgent relief to those who needed it most. That included funding for public schools that was also meant to be shared with low-income students at private schools.

But in June, Betsy DeVos tried to sabotage this funding by declaring that it can't be specified for low-income students -- she proclaimed that all private schools were eligible for the relief fund.

Here in Michigan, Betsy Devos's demands would mean that Michigan's public schools would lose $16.5 million -- that's like laying off 466 teachers when we need them more than ever.

Betsy DeVos is out of touch with what Michigan's families need -- this is just the latest of her barrage of attacks against public education. In July, I led Michigan Democrats in admonishing DeVos's decision, and we just won our first court battle against her.

Now I need you to join us while we prepare for Betsy to strike back. Sign your name to stand with our public schools today →
